STEER Privacy Policy

We collect the information you provide to use STEER. For all users this includes your name, email, phone number, location, boat details, and booking history.

For captains, we also collect USCG license details (license type, number, and expiration date), license photos, proof of insurance, and any additional certifications or endorsements you submit.

• To create and manage your account.
• To verify captain licenses and credentials.
• To match captains with boat owners who need their services.
• To process bookings and payments through STEER.
• To send you booking confirmations and related notifications.

Captains and boat owners can see each other’s contact details only for confirmed bookings between them. Payment processors handle payment information needed to complete transactions.

We never sell your personal information.

Your data is stored securely. License documents and other credential uploads are only visible to the captain who submitted them and to STEER administrators.

You can edit your information at any time from your profile. You may also request that your account and associated data be deleted by emailing jackbrazis@gmail.com.

STEER is not intended for anyone under 18 years of age.
